STAYING TRUE TO THE VISION – ARTICULATE THE ‘WHY’

To be able to illustrate and verbalize pictures of a group, or an organizational future state won’t make a great leadership. But to get the group or organization moving towards it will. Staying true to the vision during the odds are going against you are really challenging. There are times when you are hit with storm in life. There are times when we encounter adversity and difficulties in moving towards the vision and if we’re unable to understand precisely our purposed and standing firm by it, we will eventually fail.
Vision which acts as the star we can steer by as we sail the turbulent and uncharted waters of the future. By staying true to the direction, any obstacles or adversity can easily being overcome by reasoning whether or not problems occurred needs to be address.

Employees are human which get burned out by time. Repetition of everyday tasks tends to make people forget what is the purposed of doing so. While being in line with the company purposes, vision acts as fuel that keep the organization moving. Working as a whole towards the same purpose will results in great success for an organization.
As leaders, they’ve got to have vision but most important is getting others in the organization to work towards it. To get others to be in the same direction, it needs to be manifested in action, beliefs, values and goals.

While working on a project, the context of profound strategy are well thought through and can only be benefit to the organization in the long run by moving according to the strategy developed. Execution of the strategy will be carried out by employees aligned with the expected results. This keeps each personnel involved working towards the same direction are able to achieve greater outcome.
Let’s take an example of a company with the name of Celestial Seasonings; a leading manufacturer of specialty teas, uses its vision statement and stay true with it to take its company beyond the mere blending of tea leaves. Evoking the notion of a ‘tea experience’, Celestial Seasonings stakes out its competitive territory with a complete arsenal of branding mechanisms from product quality to packaging to corporate image each of which is motivated by and grounded in the company vision statement.
In conclusion,by staying true to the vision allows an organization to work in track as a whole and creates conducive working environment as workers understand their responsibilities which can results in better profit gaining, cost effective and being the best in the field by ensuring great productivity.
