PROF DR ZAHER ZAIN

TEACHING LEADERSHIP

Prof Zaher is the present Dean of School of Business and Management and Deputy Vice Chancellor of KPJUC.  Prior to joining KPJUC he has experience working in both worlds: academic and industry.  Started his career as Staff Auditor at Hanafiah Raslan Mohamad (Touche Ross), he then held various positions, among others, as Auditor, Analyst, and Consultant at Bank Islam Malaysia, Dean of Graduate School of Business, University Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Research Fellow at Cranfield University, UK.  He was also previously appointed as Consultant and Permanent Member of Economics Planning Unit, Prime Minister’s Department looking into Macroeconomics Directions of Malaysia.  Prof Zaher holds a PhD in Information Management at Cranfield University UK, Master in Management Information Systems and Bachelor in Accountancy from Northern Illinois University, USA as well as Diploma in Accountancy from MARA Institute of Technology.

ASSOCIATE PROF DR AZIZ RAHMAN

HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT

Dr Aziz’s started his career as Pharmacist in Government hospital from 1983-1995.  He first engaged with KPJ Healthcare Berhad as Chief Pharmacist in KPJ Johor Specialist Hospital in 1995.  He was then promoted to Deputy General Manager in PSH in 1999 and General Manager in Rumah Sakit Selasih, Indonesia in 2000.  Dr Aziz was appointed as CEO of KPJ Seremban since its first inception 2004 until October 2013. He was then appointed as CEO KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital until he fully retired end in 2017. Under his tenure KPJ Seremban was selected as the Best Managed hospital in KPJ for two times and for KPJ Penang three times consecutively.  Dr Aziz holds a PhD in Management, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Pharmacy, Master of Clinical Pharmacy, Post-graduate Diploma in Medical Microbiology and Post Graduate Hospital and Healthcare Management.  

DATIN SABARIAH FAUZIAH JAMALUDDIN

TEACHING HUMAN CAPITAL IN HEALTHCARE

Datin Fauziah is former KPJ’s Vice President of Group Talent Management Services and later Vice President of Marketing Division.  She commenced her career in the banking industry prior to joining KPJ. She has served the group for 22 years and gained extensive experience being the General Manager of KPJ Hospitals for 17 years.  Datin is currently Senior Adviser to NanoC Ventures Sdn Bhd and Council Member of Institute of Marketing Malaysia.  Datin Fauziah holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Ohio University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Health Services and Hospital Management from South Bank University, and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Sunshine Coast, Australia.  

AHMAD NASIRRUDDIN HARUN

TEACHING STRATEGIC PLANNING IN HEALTHCARE

En Ahmad Nasirruddin began his career as an auditor in Coopers & Lybrand in 1986 and joined KPJ Ipoh Specialist Hospital as an Accountant in 1995. Over the next 25 years, he gained a broad range of experience in the healthcare industry within KPJ’s group of hospitals. He held various positions starting from that of accountant, Business Development Manager, Strategic Planning Manager, General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of a hospital.  Prior to his recent retirement, he held the position as Director, Executive Director and Chairman of various hospitals and support services within the Group.  En Ahmad Nasirruddin is an accountant by training. He holds a Degree in Accountancy from MARA University of Technology Shah Alam; a post-graduate Diploma in Health Services and Hospital Management from South Bank University London and a Masters in Business Administration from the Henley Business School, University of Reading, United Kingdom.

ASSOCIATE PROF DR NORHAYATI MOHD ZAIN

TEACHING RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

Dr Norhayati obtained her PhD in Diagnostic Imaging from UKM. She has clinical experience as a diagnostic radiographer in KPJ Seremban Specialist Hospital. Her area of expertise is breast imaging and bone densitometry. She has published numerous research articles on breast cancer, breast imaging, bone density as well as research on teaching & learning in various SCOPUS indexed journals.  Dr Norhayati is a senior lecturer at KPJUC since February 2008. She is currently the Director of Research Management Centre.

PUAN NOOR HASLINA HARUN

TEACHING HOSPITAL MANAGEMENT

Puan Haslina is the present CEO for KPJ Bandar Datuk Onn Specialist Hospitals.  Within KPJ Group, her past roles include CEO of KPJ Kajang Specialist Hospital, General Manager for KPJ Ampang Specialist Hospital, and Group Accountant for KPJ Healthcare Berhad.  She is an experienced Corporate Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital, healthcare and education industry.  She is particularly skilled in Strategic Planning, Accounting, Team Building, Microsoft Office, and Training and Consulting.  Puan Haslina obtained a Bachelor of Accounting from University of Malaya and MBA focused in International Business from University of East London.  She is currently pursuing Doctorate in Business Administration

PUAN KAVITHALAXMI MURUGAN

TEACHING STRATEGY

Prior to joining KPJUC, Puan Kavitha has served KPJ Healthcare Berhad in Corporate Communication Division as well as Business Operations.  She has in-depth knowledge in healthcare business at the operations level with proficiency in training and development, budgeting and new product management.  Her past achievements involve ability to create high profitable collaborations through marketing, training, and partnership.  Puan Kavitha is also former Head of Corporate Training Division at KPJUC.  She holds an MBA from Open University Malaysia and Bachelor in Business Management from University of Nottingham, UK.  Her main research interests include Microeconomics Theory, Industrial Organization and Corporate Management.

PUAN NORA BUHARI

TEACHING HEALTHCARE TECHNOLOGIES

Puan Nora is currently a Corporate Manager at KPJ Healthcare Berhad since 2018.  Prior to joining KPJ, she worked as General Manager at Lablink (M) Sdn Berhad since 2012.  Having been with the healthcare industry for years she has developed a passion in the important roles of information systems and technologies in driving strategic directions of hospitals and other healthcare institutions.  Puan Nora holds an MBA from UTM and Bachelor in Accountancy from UiTM.  She is currently pursuing her Part Time PhD looking into the roles of smartphone in enhancing patient-caregivers relationship.

PUAN AZLINA MUZAINI

TEACHING OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT

Puan Azlina has more than 20 years of experience as a practitioner in the Healthcare Industry. Her previous works involved overall business operation including nursing, allied health and support service divisions. She was driving operational improvements, maximising the value of the asset base while ensuring a tight control on operational costs. She’s responsible for monitoring and continually improving standards of performance and quality within the operation.  She holds an MBA in Healthcare Management and also a Certified HR Professional.  Her expertise in Industrial Relations has been acknowledged by the Industrial Court of Malaysia by appointing her as one of the Industrial Court Panels (Employer Representative) for a period of 3 years.

DR MUBBASHIR IFTIKHAR BHATTI

HEALTHCARE INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Dr Mubbashir is former Chief Information Officer of KPJ Healthcare Group.  Some of the key projects he has worked on include Cloud Enablement, KPJ Clinical Information System, Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and web portals.  His past experience include Head of KPJ Digital Transformation and  CEO of Wellness Visit.  He is currently Chief Strategy Officer at Deconomy System Sdn Bhd.  Dr Mubbashir graduated with a MBBS from University of Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan and worked as Medical Officer with Hospital UKM for 7 years.  He also completed training in Macro Economics as well as Computer Science.

PUAN NOORUL AMILIN MOHAMED

TEACHING MANAGERIAL ACCOUNTING

Puan Amilin has more than 10 years of experience as a practitioner in areas related to Finance and Accounting.  Her career started as Head of various Account Departments for government bodies for nearly a decade.  Her responsibility involved implementing and monitoring the Ministry’s and related PTJ’s (Pusat Tanggungjawab) budgets and operation, proposeing procurement paper in RMK 9 and 10 and auditing related agencies before she decided to join accounting field in the corporate world. Her expertise is in maximizing the net equity to the stockholders using minimum resources and a tight control of operational costs.  Puan Amilin holds a Bachelor in Accountancy and Master of Business Administration (MBA).
